Meet The Director
The principal of Avalon Private Equity Group has been in the real estate investment and valuation business since 1987. The experience of working through several cycles has afforded the company the ability to develop strategies that challenge common tactile real estate investment methods and allow us to create value through our own transactional methods. Curtis didn’t design this program to make thousands of dollars. He designed it to make millions.

Curtis Wright proudly attended the University of Southern California Class of 1988. Its there he began to cultivate professional skills in the Real Estate Investment industry. While pursuing a degree in Urban Planning and playing football for the University, Curtis began to appraise property for California based Savings and Loan, Coast Federal Savings Bank, where he learned several facets of real estate valuation and investment. Curtis rose through the ranks within Coast Federal Savings and in 1992, he was part of the first wave of state licensed appraisers in California.

Later that year, Curtis decided to start his own appraisal company, West Coast Appraisal & Review. And in 1995, he began to invest in residential real estate full time and also managed property. As an investor, he has purchased everything from the smallest condos to very large custom estates.
Curtis also became a member of the Board of Directors for the largest state funded non-profit organizations in California "the South Central Los Angeles Regional Center", (SCLARC), where he honed his community and public relations skill sets. However, after a very rewarding thirty year stint in real estate investment and the cultivation of many skill sets, Curtis determined that he much prefers sharing the wisdom of his experience in real estate investment, business development, and public relations, and so he went on to form the Avalon Buyers Club, and then The Avalon Private Equity firm. The two distinct perspectives Curtis has chosen to focus on are: 1. Teaching as many people as possible about the investment real estate business. 2. Cultivating relationships with private capital resources to help fund new projects. By combining these two powerful business dynamics, Curtis has taken on the mantel of hands on job training, business, and community development. Curtis fully expects to build the Avalon Private Equity firm into an exceptional staple of not only his Los Angeles community, but into a welcome staple of several communities around the country through the core context of "direct content & immediate immersion". Through this context Curtis always looks forward to helping as many people as possible.

Once upon a time I was sitting at Disneyland half mad because ALL of my money was tied up into a hard-won escrow. However, since I was in the middle of it, my wife had to pay for everything, so it wasn’t my proudest moment. The book I took down to hold the poolside seats is called “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace Wattles. There were plenty of anecdotes within the book; however, one in particular changed my life. It said, “You are no longer in competition with anyone”. There is enough formless substance in the universe to create what you need. I didn’t understand at first. But then I did. And when I did, it changed everything, and it was at that moment I became a rich man.

I am also very committed to my community. To this regard I have created my Avalon Outreach portal specifically to serve my community and neighbors I work with.
